We spend a lot of time riding the local area and having explored the local roads, byways and bridleways come up with some cracking routes. This is why we are putting on a few group rides a year to share the fun and let fellow cyclists tag along. The rides are meant to be social and there to be enjoyed with like-minded cyclists. We don’t like to add too many rules but there is some guidelines that will hopefully make it enjoyable for everyone. Routes and rules can be found below. Check Instagram and Facebook for all the latest info about cancellations due to dangerous conditions.
This is an unsupported, unmarshalled, unsigned ride.
This ride is a gathering of like minded cyclists looking to enjoy a social ride together.
You ride as individuals and therefore are self supported and responsible for your own actions against yourself and others.
Some of the routes take place on bridleways and byways and there are laws and rules for both. https://www.gov.uk/right-of-way-open-access-land/use-public-rights-of-way
The route is a guies and should be researched and checked before.
Bicycles are NOT permitted on footpaths.
We share the paths and roads with other users and we should always behave within the law and follow the highway code.
Do not litter, its an offense.
Make yourself know to other users of the bridleway or byways. A simple ‘Morning’, ‘Afternoon’ or ‘Evening’ when approaching goes a long way.
Slow down and be prepared to stop for dogs, there are unpredictable.
Slow down and be prepared to stop for pedestrians, its not safe or nice to have a bunch of cyclists hurtling by you at speed.
Slow down and be prepared to stop for horses they can spook if they don’t hear or see you coming.
